The annual Parish feast of Mother of God Church Shakthinagar was celebrated on 17 January 2021. The donors (muddhom), as well as those who rendered their services to the parish, were honored by presenting them the ‘Candle of Honour’ by Bishop Emeritus.
Prior to the Mass Dr. Cyprian Monteiro of our parish was felicitated for obtaining Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education for his thesis titled ‘ಪ್ರೌಢ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಷ್ಟಾನಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಐಸಿಟಿ (ಹಂತ 1 ಮತ್ತು ಹಂತ 2) ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನಾತ್ಮಕ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ’.

Most Rev Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop Emeritus was the main celebrant. Fr Gerald DSouza, Parish Priest, Fr Nilesh Crasta, Asst Director, Codialbail Press, Fr Antony Shera, Secretary, CBE, Fr Francis Xavier Gomes, Former Parish Priest, and Fr Peter DSouza, Director, Pastoral Institute concelebrated.
The singing by the Church Choir was melodious and heart-lifting.
The Milagres Brass Band added to the charm of the Annual Parish Feast.
A large number of Parishioners attended the festal Holy Mass and shared their joy on the occasion.
