Report: Prima Ferrao
The new harvest festival was celebrated at Infant Jesus Ward of Mother of God church, Mariagiri, Shakthinagar on 25th September 2022 at the house of Peter Ferrao. Robert Rodrigues, Ward Gurkar welcomed the gathering with special mention of the Parish Priest.
The prayer service was conducted by the ward members and the reflection of the proclaimed Word of God was delivered by Fr Gerald Dsouza. A prayer of mother mary was recited and all sang a hymn in honor of Mother Mary and offered flowers. Ward members as one family mixed the new harvest rice corn with the payasam which was served to all.
Few games were conducted and prizes were distributed to the winners. The birthday of the members born in the month of September was celebrated by cutting the cake. Jacintha Albuquerque, Ward Representative proposed the vote of thanks. Prima Ferrao compered the program.
