Shakthinagar Church had solemn celebration of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Nativity on September 8, 2022, at 7:30 am.
As a sign of reverence and affection for Mother Mary, the parishioners offered her flowers. The new corn was blessed and then carried to the altar by the Gurkars.
Fr. Gerald Dsouza presided over the solemn Eucharistic celebration. In his sermon, Fr. Vincent emphasized Mary’s qualities as well as her hard life and sacrifices.
The new corn was distributed to the parishioners after the festal blessings. The choir added joy to the Eucharistic solemnity.
All attendees received sweets, sugarcane, and the kids received ice cream.
