The New Corn Festival was celebrated at Nithyadhar Ward, Mother of God Church, Mariagiri, Shakthinagar at Philip D’Silva’s house on Sunday, 25th September 2022 at 5.00 pm. The Ward Gurkar Asha Monteiro welcomed the gathering. The prayer service was conducted by the ward members. The children as well as elders offered flowers to Infant Mary. The ward people together with the Parish Priest consumed the new corn with the payasam prepared by the ward members. Gladson Pereira greeted the birthday celebrants and the Parish Priest wished them with a Rose. Ward Rep Jacintha Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks. Priya D’Silva compered the program.
