On 27 November 2022, St Vincent De Paul Society of Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar, celebrated Elders day. The celebration began with a Eucharistic celebration in the Church at 10:30 am. After the Mass, all gathered in the Church hall for the felicitation programme. Welcome dance was performed by the parish children. Prayer service was conducted by Flevy Pinto and others. The dignitaries, Rev. Fr Gerald Dsouza Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Vincent Saldanha, Pauline D’Souza Secretary PPP, Asha Montero Commission Convenor, Dolphy Dsouza SVP President with two Elders inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The SVP President welcomed the gathering. The Parish Priest delivered a message. Thereafter children performed dance and enacted jokes to entertain the Elders. Praveen Sequeira conducted a few entertaining games for the Elders. Rev. Fr Vincent Saldanha motivated elders to lead a happy life. In the end, Flavy Pinto thanked all for the success of the programme. Arun Lobo compered the event. Lunch was served to all.
