On September 8, 2023, at 7:30 am, the faithful of Shakthinagar Church held a solemn celebration in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Nativity. Parishioners expressed their reverence and affection for Mother Mary by offering flowers. The newly harvested corn was blessed and then carried to the altar by the Gurkars.
The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr Gerald Dsouza. Rev. Fr Pramod Crasta concelebrated. The Bible marathon was inaugurated after the homily.
Following the festal blessings, the newly harvested corn was distributed to the parishioners. The choir’s harmonious melodies enhanced the joy of the Eucharistic solemnity.
As a gesture of celebration, all attendees received sweets, sugarcane, and the children were delighted with ice cream.
