The novena in preparation for the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Nativity Feast commenced at Shakthinagar Church on Wednesday, August 30, and continued until September 7th. The novena mass was led by Bishop Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Rev. Fr Gerald Dsouza, and Rev. Fr Pramod Crasta at 5:30 pm.
Throughout the novena, various wards and associations took charge of the liturgy. Numerous children, accompanied by their parents, arrived with flower baskets to pay their respects to Infant Mary. As a delightful tradition, sweets were distributed on each day of the novena.
