Ward members of St.Alphonsus Maria de Ligouri were gathered at Lawrence Pereira’s house to celebrate the childrens day on 12 November 2023 at 4pm. The celebration began with a hymn, bible reading and with a prayer. Ward Gurkar Tony Pinto warmly welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Gerald Dsouza the Parish priest presisded over the function. The programme featured performances like songs, jokes, riddles, birthday and wedding anniversary celebrations. Various games were conducted for all the children. Prajwal Saldanha spoke about the importance of childrens day and Jawaharlal Nehru. Fr. Gerald Dsouza addressed the gathering with valuable thoughts and insights.
Programme was concluded with vote of thanks by ward representative Norbert Rodrigues. Sweets and snacks were distributed to all the ward members. The program was navigated by ward representative Flemia Fernandes. All children enjoyed the programme.
