Rev. Fr Apolinaris Crasta took charge as the Parish Priest of Mother of God Church, Mariagiri, Shakthinagar, on May 17, 2024. The new Parish Priest was welcomed by Rev. Fr Gerald Dsouza, the outgoing Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Pramod Crasta, Resident Priest, Rev. Fr Vincent Saldanha, Manager, Codialbail Press, Stany Mascarenhas, Vice President of PPP, Mary Pinto, Secretary of PPP, Tony Pinto, Commission Convenor, and all the faithful.
The installation of Rev. Fr Apolinaris was led by Very Rev. Fr James Dsouza, Vicar Forane, St Peter’s City Vicariate, as the delegate of Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore. Rev. Fr Gerald handed over the responsibilities to his successor, Rev. Fr Apolinaris. A short welcome program was organized by the Parish Pastoral Porishod. Asha Monteiro compered the program.
Rev. Fr Apolinaris Crasta was accompanied by Very Rev. Fr Oswald Monteiro, Parish Priest, Our Lady of Remedies Church, Kirem, and Vicar Forane, St. Jude’s Mangalore North Vicariate, Bethany Sisters from the Mother of Mercy Convent, Kirem, and Parish Pastoral Porishod members of Our Lady of Remedies Church, Kirem.
