On September 8, 2024, at 7:30 a.m., the faithful of Shakthinagar Church gathered for a solemn celebration in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Parishioners expressed their devotion and love for Mother Mary by offering flowers. The newly harvested corn was blessed and brought to the altar by the vice president, secretary, and gurkars.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided by Rev. Fr Pramod Crasta, with Rev. Fr Apolinaris Crasta as a concelebrant. After the festal blessings, the blessed corn was distributed among the parishioners. The choir’s harmonious melodies enriched the joy and solemnity of the Eucharistic service.
As part of the celebration, attendees were given sugarcane, while the children enjoyed the added delight of ice cream.
