The Catholic Sabha of Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar unit, successfully conducted a signature campaign on 20th October 2024 to oppose the ongoing mining activities affecting the parishes of Pavur Uliya, Ranipura, Ullal Hoige, and Kenjaru. The campaign was organized following the decision to appeal to the Tribunal Court, with the approval of the Bishop’s authority.
Parishioners participated in large numbers, showing overwhelming support for the cause. The signature collection took place after both the 7:00 and 10:00 AM mass. The Catholic Sabha volunteers worked efficiently to gather signatures from parishioners, who responded enthusiastically to the call for action.
The campaign was a resounding success, with the majority of parish families participating. Their signatures will now strengthen the case that will be submitted to the Tribunal Court.
