Christmas is a season for sharing of love and joy with one another. The parishioners of Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar celebrated the day with great joy.
On 24th at 6:30pm the carols by Parish Choir, resonated and proclaimed the birth of Jesus, in the hearts of the gathering. The members of Alphonsus Maria De Ligouri Ward put forth a crib depicting birth place of Jesus. Parish priest Rev.Fr. Apolinaries Crasta blessed the Crib in presence of Fr. Pramod Crasta, PPP members and the ward members followed by the Solemn Eucharistic celebration.
The whole premises was decorated with lights and stars. After the Mass the celebrations continued with the dance performance by members of ICYM, YCS and Catholic Sabha that was mind blowing. Santa entry added more joy to the celebrations. Cake and soft drinks was served to all . The entertainment activities was followed by auctioning of various items like kuswar, cake and wine, and concluded with a game of Tambola. As per competition for making of stars with innovative ideas, many entries got nominated and the first place was secured by Pauline Dsouza of St Joseph’s Ward 2nd place Divina Dsouza of Dev matha ward and 3rd place William colaso of Velankani ward. Everyone shared the Joy of Christmas, wishing each other.
