On December 29, 2024, the Nithyadar ward members of Mother of God Church gathered at Saanidhya Special School in Shakthinagar to share the joy and happiness of Christmas with the children. The celebration commenced at 4:30 p.m. with a prayer service. Ward Gurkar Mrs. Jacintha Dsouza warmly welcomed the gathering. The Christmas cake-cutting was done by the guests, Ward Gurkar, and Committee Members. The Chief Guest, Mr. Mahabala Marla, (Ex Mayor and Corporator) delivered an inspiring message emphasizing love, forgiveness, and service to build a strong community. Mrs. Suman D’Silva, Assistant Administrator of Sanidhya School, provided a brief overview of the school’s mission and activities. Rev. Fr. Apolinaris Crasta, Parish Priest of Mother of God Church, in his Presidential talk shared an uplifting message of love and service.
The children enthusiastically participated in various games, and prizes were distributed to the winners. The ward members’ rendition of Christmas carols created a festive atmosphere, while the arrival of Santa Claus got everyone dancing to the beat.
The program culminated with the joyful distribution of fruits and kuswar to all. The event was attended by 250 enthusiastic members, comprising children, staff, and ward members. Mrs. Cynthia Pinto, Ward Representative, delivered the vote of thanks, while Mrs. Asha Monteiro compered the program.
