The Annual parish feast of Mother of God Church, Mariagiri, Shakthinagar was celebrated on Sunday 2nd February 2025. The newly installed TV sets screening the proceedings in the church were inaugurated by the Parish Priest. The donors (Muddhom) were honoured by presenting the Candle of Honor by the Parish Priest Rev Fr Apolinaris Crasta, followed by the holy mass at 10 am, celebrated by the former Parish Priest Rev Fr Gerald Dsouza. Rev Fr Apolinaris Crasta, the Parish Priest, Fr Pramod Crasta, the resident priest, Fr Nilesh Crasta, Asst. Administrator, FMMCH, Fr Vincent Saldanha, Manager, Codialbail Press, Fr Ronald Lobo, Spiritual Animator, Father Mullers Hospital, Fr Lawrence DMello, OCD, and Fr Harold DSilva were the concelebrants.
The church choir added glory to the celebrations with the melodious singing. A large number of parishioners attended the Holy Mass and shared their joy on the occasion greeting each other. ICYM, YCS, Stree Sangaton and Catholic Sabha members put up various lucky games and eatable stalls.
Legion of Mary presidium of the church put up a beautiful pedestal of Mother Mary at entrance of the Church and encouraged the faithful to light candles at the effigy of Mother Mary.
