4. Sports and Games:
As part of the Jubilee year 2025 celebrations, at Mother of God Church Sabhabhavan, a day of Sports and games was organized on Sunday 27Th April. The event commenced in the morning, after the Holy Mass.
The program began at 9:30 AM with a prayer and warm welcome by the program coordinator, William Colaco. He greeted the Parish Priest, Rev Fr Apolinaris Crasta, Parish Pastoral Parishod Vice President Stany Mascarenhas, Secretary Mary Pinto, Commission Coordinator Maria DCruz, Sr Prabha, Sr Diana and Service commission Convener Vincent DSouza.
The morning session witnessed the young parishioners, from LKG to Class 10. Engaged in various games and activities. Their involvement energy and excitement was outstanding, making the first half of the day truly memorable.
The Noon session resumed at 3:30 PM, with participation from the youth and elderly parishioners. Events engaging everyone with spirit of joy and splendor. Encouragement, Laughter and cheers, echoed throughout the Sabha bhavan as participants exhibited their qualities in talents and sportsmanship.
The excitement peaked up with the announcement of Housie Housie game, enjoyed by people of all age groups, followed by Valedictory ceremony. Winners of various events were awarded prizes.
All attendees were served snacks and soft drinks both in morning and afternoon sessions. Ice cream was relished and the day ended happily.
