YCS unit, along with members of Commission for Environment, observed Laudato Si (Planting of Saplings) at Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar on Sunday 13th July after 7am mass.
The event commenced with a welcome note by Deon DSouza. Jenisha DSouza elaborated the significance and importance of environmental conservation. YCS animator Rev Fr Pramod Crasta, delivered the presidential address, conveying the need to mitigate the challenges towards preserving the environment. Shreya DSouza proposed vote of thanks. The program was meticulously compered by Prinston DSouza.
As part of the program, saplings were planted at the church garden. The presence of Vice President of PPP Mr. Stany Mascarenhas, Secretary Mrs. Mary Pinto, Commission Coordinator Mrs. Maria DCruz and many parishioners added grandeur to the event.
