The Infant Jesus Ward joyfully celebrated the New Harvest Festival on 21st September 2025 at 12.30pm at the residence of Mr. Ronald Albuquerque. The program was meaningfully conducted with Ms. Riya Rodrigues serving as the Master of Ceremony.
The gathering was warmly welcomed by the ward Gurkar Mr. Robert Rodrigues, followed by a heartfelt prayer led by the ward members. As a sign of devotion, all the gathered faithful offered flowers to Mother Mary and placed them near the grotto. Afterwards, the Gurkar distributed one new corn to each family. In the absence of the Vigar, Mr. Arun Lobo blessed the new corn, which was then shared and relished by everyone along with milk.
On this occasion, Teachers were honored in remembrance of Teachers’ Day. Ms. Lisha Pearl Veigas was specially felicitated for securing distinction in II PUC examinations. Medals were distributed to the winners of Udka Dabazo, held on 24th August 2025 and organized by the ICYM members.
The September-born ward members were wished with flowers and special blessings. Fun-filled games were also organized by Mrs. Veena Machado, adding joy and enthusiasm to the celebration. The formal program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Laveena Lobo, followed by a lunch prepared by the ward members.
The event brought together the ward members in faith, unity, and joy, making the New Harvest Festival a memorable and meaningful celebration.
