Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar Unit
The St Vincent de Paul Sabha, Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar Unit, celebrated its Unit Patron Feast on 28 September 2025. The celebration began with the Holy Mass at 7:00 a.m.
After Mass, all the members gathered in the church mini hall. The programme began with a prayer led by Mr. Dolphy D’Souza and Mrs. Flavy Pinto.

The office bearers of the Sabha – Mr. Dolphy D’Souza (President), Mrs. Flavy Pinto (Secretary), and Mr. Deepak D’Souza (Treasurer) were honoured with flower bouquets.
The annual report of the unit was presented by Mrs. Flavy Pinto. On this occasion, small gifts were distributed to the adopted families of the St Vincent de Paul Sabha. Financial assistance was also extended to 16 poor students (including one from a non-Catholic family) to support their education, as well as to one cancer patient.
In his presidential address, the Parish Priest appreciated the selfless service rendered by the St Vincent de Paul Sabha. Mrs. Flavy Pinto proposed the vote of thanks, and the programme was compered by Mr. Praveen Sequeira.
The celebration concluded with tea, coffee, and snacks shared among all.
