On 2nd November 2025, the ICYM Shakthinagar Unit organized a Fancy Dress Competition for children under four categories:
Category 1: 1 to 3 years
Category 2: LKG to 3rd Standard
Category 3: 4th to 7th Standard
Category 4: 8th to 10th Standard
The theme of the competition was “Various Saints”, encouraging children to portray and learn about the lives of saints with creativity and devotion.
The event was judged by Rev. Fr. Lawrence Cutinha (ICYM St. Peter City Deanery Director) and Mr. Jaison D’Souza ( Regional Representative ICYM Mangalore).
The stage program commenced at 11:00 a.m., with Ms. Sherly D’Souza serving as the MC. The guests present were Rev. Fr. Apolinaris Crasta (Parish Priest), Rev. Fr. Lawrence Cutinha, Mr. Jaison D’Souza, Mr. Stany Mascarenhas (Parish Vice President), Ms. Mary Pinto (Secretary), Ms. Maria D’Cruz (All Commission Coordinator), and Ms. Jean Noronha (Catechism Teacher Coordinator).
A total of 35 enthusiastic children participated, impressing everyone with their creativity, presentation, and confidence as they brought various saints to life through their costumes and performances.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Riya Rodrigues.
