Parish Feast Celebrated at Mother of God Church, Mariagiri, Shakthinagar
Mother of God Church, Mariagiri, Shakthinagar, solemnly celebrated its parish feast on 1st January, marking the beginning of the New Year in an atmosphere of faith, devotion, and thanksgiving.
As part of the celebration, at 10:00 a.m., the members of the Parish Pastoral Parishad (PPP) and the benefactors of the parish were honoured with candles as a gesture of gratitude for their dedicated service and generous support to the parish community.
The solemn festal Holy Mass commenced at 10:15 a.m. and was concelebrated by eight priests. The main celebrant was Rev. Fr. Donald Nilesh Crasta, Administrator of FMHM College & Hospital, Deralakatte.

The liturgical celebration was enriched by the choir, whose melodious hymns enhanced the solemnity and reverence of the Eucharistic celebration. The Legion of Mary assisted the faithful by organizing a candle-lighting devotion before the statue of Mother Mary, fostering a prayerful and devotional ambiance.
The parish feast brought the faithful together in unity and thanksgiving as the community gathered to honour Mother Mary and to seek her maternal intercession and blessings at the dawn of the New Year.
