The Lenten Retreat for parishioners of Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar was held from 8th to 11th March 2026. Rev.Fr. Santhosh Rodrigues, Director, Pastoral Institute, Bajjodi was the preacher for the retreat.
On all days the retreat commenced at 5:30 pm with the Rosary, praise and worship, followed by the Holy Eucharistic celebration and Adoration of Blessed Sacrament.
It was a spiritually enriching and holistic experience for the faithful. Through his inspiring sermons, the preacher guided the congregation to reflect on their past lives in a calm and prayerful atmosphere, preparing their hearts for the Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Many faithful also availed themselves of the Sacrament of confession, which was made possible with the presence of several priests.
On Sunday, 8th March, the retreat began at 8:00 a.m. and concluded at 11:00 a.m. with the Eucharistic celebration.
Throughout the retreat, the faithful were encouraged to experience the divine presence within themselves, leading many to deepen their faith and spiritual life during this sacred Lenten season.
