Easter Vigil Celebration at Shakthinagar
The faithful of Mother of God Church gathered in large numbers to participate in the solemn Easter Vigil Mass held at 7:00 p.m., marking the celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord.
The liturgy began with the meaningful rite of candle pricking followed by the lighting of candles, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and the risen Christ as the Light of the World. This opening ceremony created a deeply prayerful and reflective atmosphere among the congregation.
The Liturgy of the Word followed, with scripture readings and the responsorial psalm, inviting the faithful to reflect on God’s saving works through history and the promise of new life in Christ.
The Holy Eucharist was solemnly celebrated by the main celebrant, Rev. Fr. Pramod Crasta. He was joined by the Vicar, Rev. Fr. Apolinaris Crasta, and Rev. Fr. Vincent Vinod Saldanha, who were present for the occasion.
The celebration concluded on a joyful note, with the faithful rejoicing in the resurrection of Christ and carrying the message of hope, renewal, and new life into their homes and communities.
