Dev Matha Ward feast was celebrated on Sunday, October 16, 2022. The festive mass was presided over by Rev Fr Jerald D’souza
The cultural celebration started at 6:15 pm at John Irene Dsouza’s residence. The parish priest, PPP Secretary Pauline Dsouza, and the members of the Parish Pastoral Parishad were present.
The Holy Bible was placed in a dignified place and revered by everyone present. The gathering was welcomed by a dance. The prayer session was led by Irene Monteiro. Then the dignitaries were welcomed by Ward Gurkar Dolphy Dsouza by offering them a rose. The annual ward report was presented by Paul Dsouza.
The members of the ward conducted various cultural programs and games. Elders of the ward were felicitated. Tony Pinto the Parish convener of SCC delivered his message. The prizes were distributed to the winners of the games. Fr Gerald addressed the gathering in which he emphasized the importance of unity in the ward and utilizing the ward’s talents for the benefit of the parish and society.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Ida Sequeira. Finally, dinner was served. Jean Dsouza compered the program.
