Laudato Si’ Sunday was observed at Shakthinagar Church on Sunday, July 2, 2023. The program was organized by the Martyria Commission group in collaboration with Catholic Sabha, Stree Sanghotton, ICYM, and YCS. The event included a brief program where Maria Dcruz, the convenor of the Martyria, extended a warm welcome to the attendees. Riya Albuquerque explained the significance of the papal letter Laudato Si’ and the importance of environmental conservation. Fr Gerald delivered the presidential address, and Arun Dsouza, the President of the Catholic Sabha, expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks. As part of the program, saplings were planted within the church campus. The event saw the presence of Secretary Mary Pinto, Commission Convenor Tony Pinto, members from Catholic Sabha, Stree Sanghotton, ICYM, YCS, as well as the parishioners.
