The Legion of Mary marked its Annual Feast on October 15th, 2023, at Mother of God Church, Mariagiri. The event began with a thanksgiving mass, attended by all members of the presidium.
In the evening, the festivities commenced at 3:45 pm, with President Cecelia Dsouza leading the assembly in the recitation of the Rosary. Attendees from various presidia joined in.
Presidium Vice President Shanthi Pais warmly welcomed the esteemed gathering. Secretary Irene Carlo presented the Annual Report. The Diocesan Legion Comitium Spiritual Director Rev. Fr Francis Dsouza and Br Naveen, the Comitium President, added grace to the occasion by their presence.
Rev. Fr Gerald Dsouza, the presidium’s Spiritual Director and Parish Priest, presided over the function. The event was further dignified by the presence of Stany Mascarenhas, Vice President of the PPP, Mary Pinto, Secretary of PPP and Tony Pinto, Commission Coordinator.
The program featured performances by the parish’s children, including a welcome dance and a prayer dance. Spot games and a Skit were held. All Legionaries sung melodious hymns of Mother Mary. One of the Senior members, Lilly Rodrigues was felicitated for her selfless service to the presidi throughout past several years.
Irene Carlo rendered vote of thanks. The programme was anchored by Maria Dcruz. All presidi Legionaries including our members actively participated.
