Children’s Day was celebrated with fervor and gaiety at Mother of God Church, Mariagiri, Shakthinagar on 12th November 2023. To commemorate the day several indoor and outdoor games were conducted for all Catechism children LKG to PU students on November 5th. Many children participated with great enthusiasm.
On 12th November ,the Day commenced with a thanksgiving mass celebrated by Fr. Pramod Crasta . The program commenced with a prayer service led by Priston Sequiera and all YCS members. Parish Priest Rev.Fr. Gerald D’Souza enlightened the gathering with quote of the Bible and reflection. The importance of the day was narrated by Deran Crasta. Ashwil Colaco greeted and welcomed the guests and the gathering. The program was further dignified by the presence of Fr.Pramod Crasta, Fr. Paul Sebastian D’Souza, PPP Secretary Mary Pinto, Commission coordinator Tony Pinto, Catechism coordinator Jean D’Souza, Animator Maria DCruz, YCS president Deran Crasta. The wishing song and a dance by YCS members were a feast to the eyes and minds.
Mesmerizing magic show , ABRAKADABRA was performed by magician Fr. Paul Sebastian D’Souza with relevance to the Bible. Prizes were distributed to the winners by Fr. Paul Sebastian D’Souza. The program was systematically anchored by Siona. Anshal D’Souza proposed the Vote of thanks. All children were served Snacks and relished their day with cherishing memories.
