The Catholic Sabha, in collaboration with the District Wenlock Hospital Blood Bank, Shakthi Friends Club, Catholic Sabha City Deanery, Lions Club, Tata Health Insurance Company, Rickshaw Drivers and Owners Association, and Nejiguri Group, organized a Blood Donation Camp at Shakthi Friends Club, Shaktinagar on 15 September 2024.
The program commenced with a prayer song, followed by a moment of silent tribute to the late Naveen Poojary, former president of the Rickshaw Drivers and Owners Association. The dignitaries present inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Antony Dsouza, representing the District Wenlock Hospital Blood Bank, provided insightful information on the importance of blood donation. Tony Pinto, who has donated blood 70 times, was honored as a role model for the community.
Kishore Kottari, Corporator Padavu 35th Ward; Lion Jayaraj Prakash, President Lions Club; Arun Dsouza, President Catholic Sabha City Deanery and Nejiguri Group; Stany Mascarenhas, PPP Vice President Mother of God Church; B.S. Buba, President Shakthi Friends Club; Basavaraj, President Rickshaw Drivers and Owners Association; Ram Mohan Rai, Representative Tata Health Insurance Company; David Crasta, President Catholic Sabha; and Ramachandra Nejiguri Group were present.
Lion Jayaraj Prakash welcomed the attendees, and Tony Pinto, the camp coordinator, expressed his gratitude to all participants. Rakesh Nejiguri compered the program.
Refreshments were provided, with breakfast served in the morning and lunch in the afternoon for all attendees.
