The faithful of Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar gathered near the Grotto of mother Mary on 5th January 2025 for inauguration of the Jubilee year 2025. As per proclamation, the preparation for this jubilee year had begun in 2023.
In the Universal Church, Pope Francis inaugurated the year 2025 as the Jubilee Year, on the eve of Christmas. The Jubilee year 2025 is declared as the year of Hope and is exalted world over.
Before the Holy Mass, the cross was blessed by Rev Fr. Pramod Crasta near the Grotto of mother Mary and was taken in a procession by Fr Pramod Crasta and the Parish Priest Rev Fr Apolinaries Crasta. All the faithful followed in a procession to the church, venerating the Holy Cross and bowing respectfully.
