On October 22nd, 2023 soon after the 7:30 am and 10 am masses vehicle blessing ceremony was held at the church premises. A short prayer service was held. Fr Gerald, and Fr Pramod sprinkled holy water on the vehicles to bless them.  

On October 7, 2023, the Commission for Social Communication – Martyria conducted a training program focusing on technical specifications for photos and report writing for the church website. The program commenced at 6:00 pm with a prayer service led by Asha Monteiro. Maria Dcruz, the Convenor of Martyria, extended a welcome to the participants. Shelton

On 13th August 2023, the Gurkar of St Joseph Ward David Crasta assumed office for a five-year term. On 10th September 2023, the Gurkars of Dev Matha, Nithyadar, St Alphonsus Maria de Liguori, and Vailankanni Wards Irene Dsouza, Jacintha Dsouza, Ronald Tony Pinto, and William Colaso respectively assumed office for probation term of one year.

On September 8, 2023, at 7:30 am, the faithful of Shakthinagar Church held a solemn celebration in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Nativity. Parishioners expressed their reverence and affection for Mother Mary by offering flowers. The newly harvested corn was blessed and then carried to the altar by the Gurkars.
