The 9 days of Novena in preparation for the Nativity Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary was started on Monday, 30th August and continued till 7th September at Shakthinagar Church. The novena mass was at 6:00 pm led by Fr. Gerald Dsouza, Fr Nilesh Crasta, and Fr Pramod Crasta.
The liturgy was conducted by wards and associations. Many children had come with baskets full of flowers with parents to honor Mary in preparation for her birthday. Sweets were distributed on all days of the novena.
