The parishioners of Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar, gathered in great numbers on New Year’s Eve to bid farewell to 2024 and welcome the New Year 2025 with devotion and joy. The evening program commenced at 6:30 pm with a Thanksgiving Adoration, during which the faithful expressed their gratitude to God for the manifold blessings received throughout the year.
This was followed by the Holy Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Rev. Fr. Apolinaris Crasta with Rev. Fr. Pramod Crasta as a concelebrant. Rev.Fr. Apolinaris Crasta delivered a meaningful and inspiring homily, focusing on the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, and emphasized the virtues of love, unity, and faith as the foundation for a blessed New Year.
After the Mass, the parishioners were treated to light refreshments, including snacks and soft drinks, fostering a sense of fellowship and joy. An Offertory Auction was held, providing a platform for the community to come together in generosity and support.
The evening concluded with a lively game of Housie Housie, adding a touch of fun and excitement to the celebrations. Praveen Sequeira skillfully compered the event, ensuring smooth coordination and an engaging atmosphere.
The New Year’s Eve program not only marked a spiritual renewal but also strengthened the bonds of community, leaving everyone with hearts full of gratitude and hope for the year ahead.
