The Lenten Retreat for Parishioners of Mother of God Church, Shaktinagar was held from 3rd to 6th April 2025. Fr Domonic Charles Vas, Parish Priest of Infant Mary’s Church, Bajjodi was the preacher for the retreat along with his vocalist Mr John.
On all days the retreat commenced at 5.30pm with praise and worship, followed by Holy Eucharistic Celebration and Adoration of Blessed Sacrament.
It was a holistic event, the preacher taking the audience to the past activities in tranquil mode and preparing for the feast of Resurrection of our Lord. The sessions focussed on Family Life, relationship between spouses, fostering children in spiritual life and the overcoming of routine failures. Many faithful attended the confession, which was made possible by the presence of many priests.
On Sunday 6th April at 8am the retreat began and at 11am ended with the Holy Eucharistic Celebration. During this retreat divine presence within was encountered by many.
