The inauguration of the Catechetical Year 2025-26 with a meaningful ceremony took place at beginning of the 7:30 AM Mass on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar. The Theme for the year is “Faith Formed – Hope Filled”. (Hope does not disappoint us).
As per the guidelines from Diocese, inaugural rite was performed with 6 children, PPP Vice president, PPP Secretary, Parent couple, and all Catechists standing in front of the altar.
Relevant books were handed over to the Catechists and children by Parish Priest.
Watering the plant – PPP Vice president, PPP Secretary and the Parent couple watered the plant depicting symbol of hope. This symbolizes the essential role of both the family and the parish in fostering and nourishing the gift of hope in our children through catechism.
As a sign of support and guidance, catechists, parent, the PPP Vice president, PPP Secretary gently placed their hands on the shoulder of every child, standing at the Altar. Blessing of all was done by the Parish Priest.
Holy Mass was held thereafter.
