A Health Information Camp was organized by the Seva Commission and Legion of Mary Association at the Mini Hall of Mother of God Church, Mariagiri, Shakthinagar, on 6 September 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Around 100 parishioners and community members attended the programme.
The programme began with breakfast. PPP Vice-President William Colaso welcomed the gathering, while Veena Vas compered the event. Tara Machado introduced the resource person, Dr. Veena Pinto, Professor of Medicine at Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Kankanady, Mangaluru.
Dr. Veena Pinto conducted an informative session on diabetes, blood pressure, stroke, heart health, and emergency care, along with important emergency contact numbers.
Fr. Ivan Peter Cordeiro, Resident Priest, shared inspiring words and encouraged the community to give greater importance to their health and well-being. PPP Secretary was also present on the occasion.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Maria D’Cruz, Commission Coordinator. The camp was a meaningful initiative that promoted health awareness, preventive care, and a healthy lifestyle among the parish community.
