On 15th August 2025, after the 7:00 a.m. Mass, ICYM Shakthinagar celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The program was initiated by Ms. Sonal Saldanha. The President, Mr. Deran Crasta, warmly welcomed the gathering, followed by Ms. Sherly D’Souza, who spoke on the importance of the day. Mr. Priston Sequeira gave the command for the proceedings. The Guests of Honour for the occasion were Mrs. Juliet Rodrigues, Rev. Fr. Pramod Crasta, Fr. Ivan Corderio, Mr. Roydan Stany Mascharenas (Vice President), Mrs. Mary Pinto (Secretary), and Mrs. Maria D’Cruz (All commission coordinator). Mrs. Juliet Rodrigues hoisted the national flag and addressed the gathering with her inspiring words. Rev. Fr. Pramod Crasta delivered his message highlighting the significance of Independence Day and the Feast of Mary. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Joel Cutinha.
