Catechism Day was celebrated on 1st March 2026 at Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar. The day commenced with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass at 8:00 a.m. Rev.Fr. Pramod Crasta was the main celebrant and Rev.Fr. Apolinaris Crasta concelebrated the Mass. The Catechism students actively participated in the liturgy and the offertory procession.
Following the Mass, at 9:30 a.m. everyone gathered in the Church Hall for the celebration program. Students from LKG to Class 10 presented action songs, skits and dances based on themes from Holy Bible.
The Parish Priest, Rev.Fr. Apolinaris Crasta congratulated and encouraged the students for their dedication in attending Catechism classes. Resident Priest, Rev.Fr. Pramod Crasta, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Parishad Mr. William Colaso, Secretary Mrs. Gracy Dsouza, Commission coordinator Mrs. Maria DCruz, Catechism Coordinator Mrs. Jean Dsouza, Sr. Prabhat and Sr. Hencil were present for the occasion.
Mrs. Asha Colaso warmly welcomed the gathering. Prizes were awarded to students in different categories, and the catechism teachers were also honored for their dedicated service.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Lavina Dsouza. The event was beautifully anchored by Ashwin Colaso and Deola DSouza. The Catechism Day celebration was a memorable occasion filled with faith, Joy and togetherness. The celebration concluded with everyone enjoying snacks, Badam milk and ice cream.
