The people of Shakthinagar spontaneously organized a human chain to protest and exhibit their feelings against the recently introduced anti-conversion bill which is in contravention of the rights conferred by the constitution to its citizens, affecting the rights of the Christian community in particular and also to protest against the innumerable atrocities and injustices being committed against Christians in the country and in our state.
The silent protest was on 2nd March 2022 from 6 pm. The human chain which began from Chalukya Bar went up to Deepa Friends Club. Hundreds of parishioners participated in the protest and extended their support. At exactly 7 pm the protest was ended and parishioners dispersed. It was a disciplined and well-organized protest. The protest did not cause any disturbance to the public.
